Perhaps better described as an Analog Input Processor, the DB2 Tape Head Preamplifier and was designed to offer maximum versatility with zero compromise performance. Designed by David Berning, this device offers 3 separate gain stage inputs with adjustable loading and 8 EQ options. Dave has been a tape enthusiast for a very long time and this project clearly excited him. The end result is reflective of that enthusiasm. We decided to add phono to the offering once we heard the first prototype.
We have compared the DB2 to some of the best phono stages on the market and after hearing the results, have repositioned this product accordingly.
Production models are expected in early 2026.
